Red, White, and Blonde

It has been a while since I've updated everyone, but I finally got around to logging on and spreading the news. I can't believe that the first week of July has almost come and gone. I become homeless (having my own place) as of July 31st and then leave August 17th for the land down under. It is all coming so fast, but I kind of like it! I have been babysitting two kids for the past month and have been saving money for my trip and for when I get back. I have also sent one load of my apartment stuff with Mama to Jackson and I just got back last night from taking another load. I spent the holiday weekend at home and enjoyed hanging out with family and friends and spending time at the pool. We spent the 4th at the Grand-Suttle's. Dad and Tommy grilled and the kids played (Chris included). It was just fun to relax, eat, and be themed out in red, white, and blue. (I love an excuse for everyone to match!) On my drive back to Tuscaloosa, I kept telling myself that I only have to do that dreadful drive a couple more times! And it is hard for me to believe that my "college days" are near the end. My apartment looks completely different and I am having different instances stress me out. On top of preparing for Australia, I am having to decide what I want to do when I get back. I know I would like to start teaching in January, but I don't know if there will be any opportunities available mid-year. If you know anyone who is preggers or old... let me know! I am gonna want to jump on that! Also, I have rarely seen my roomie and we are both uncertain as to where we go next. It is a lot to take on right now, but I am so excited for what the future holds!

As for my trip, I a
pplied for my visa last week and PRAY that it comes back in time! Everything is pretty set to go - now it is just a waiting process.
And as for my foot, I am healed
... well, just about. My scar gets better each day and I have already began running on it again. I am hoping to run another 5K before the summer is over!
