This weekend we decided to soak up the sun. Friday night, Mary and I went down to the beach to catch the sunset while Pippa went to get us fish and chips for dinner. It was so beautiful! We had our fish and chips by the beach and enjoyed our Friday evening together. On Saturday, Kendall, Megan, Mary, and I went to Cottesloe Beach. Cottesloe Beach is south of the city and is well-known for being the location of Heath Ledger's ashes. Yesterday was the HOTTEST day they've had in October in 13 years. The temperature reached to 37 C which is about 99 F. It was hot and the flies drove me CRAZY! There was a small breeze, but it didn't do much. However, the water was absolutely freezing and it was my first time to go in the Indian Ocean. Yea! Anyway, Cottesloe was packed and even met the front page of the news today!
Today, us girls went north of town to Mindarie. The marina there was a having a small festival, but it wasn' t too exciting. We didn't stay very long and left to go grab some lunch. We drove back to Mullaloo (my suburb) and went to a local pub to have a drink while admiring the beach.Tonight I'm just spending my time relaxing and getting ready for this week at school. I enjoyed Friday with my Year 4s and I think I'm really going to have fun with my last 6 weeks at Hocking Primary!
