Going to the Red City... Soon!
This week has been a little bit crazy, but I'm finally get a chance to write. I finished my last lesson today for this placement and tomorrow is Pirate Fun Day. All semester we have had a theme of pirates and since tomorrow is the last day of term, we get to dress up like pirates and theme the entire day! I love it! On top of the excitement that tomorrow is the last day before holiday (a term used for their vacation), I have to pack tomorrow because Kendall's and my flight leaves tomorrow night at 11:00 headed for Cairns. Kendall now has the sinus and icky sickness that I had a couple of weeks ago, so I hope she starts to feel much better within the next 24 hours. We will be gone for a total of 10 days and we are looking so forward to it. However, the money we have spent on this is outrageous... you can basically tell us, "Happy Birthday" (both have Dec. birthdays), "Happy Graduation (both graduating in Dec.), and "Merry Christmas" (well... everybody gets that one). I am now taking donations for the "Help Lauren Survive Upon Return to America and Future Life Fund". You can make checks payable to me. Anyway, I hope this trip is one to remember. And I hope the dust is gone by the time we get to Sydney. In case you didn't know, there was a big dust storm that covered Sydney and made it red yesterday (Wednesday).
Well, I'd better get to packing now. I need to pull my suitcase back out and figure out where I've put everything. Stay tuned for pictures! G'day!
