Saturday in the City

This weekend was a pretty calm one which was nice. Towards the end of the week I started having a sore throat and my sinuses were acting up. This morning when I woke up it really hurt to swallow. I have tried to push through today and get some lessons done, but I've about worn myself out. This dang weather needs to hurry up and become spring-like!
Yesterday we went
into downtown Perth and looked around. We really had no clue what we were going to see. We just wanted to venture out and enjoy our Saturday. All downtown Perth is made up of shops. We spent the majority of our time looking in the stores and I think I was the only one who bought stuff (not too much though!). We ended up finding this park with giant kangaroo statues and had a fun photo opp. with them...

After the 'Roo fun, we went down the street towards The Bell Tower. The Bell Tower is a major landmark in Perth located in the city near Swan River. It has a significant tie to the English and Australia's rich history with them. Unfortunately, we got there too late and it was closed so we couldn't go in it. The views from The Bell Tower area towards the city were beautiful!

On a non-Australian note, I was glad to wake up to a Bama victory this morning. Roll Tide Roll!

Oh, and Happy Father's Day from Australia!
